Reiki Healing Energy Needed to Support Tender Souls in California

Every so often we get requests for Reiki Practitioners who are skilled at sending distance Reiki to help with healing animals whose stories touch our lives and hearts in some way.

These are three such souls.  If you practice Reiki and have time to send healing support, we would be mighty grateful to you!

Dearest Reiki Angels,
Please send Healing Reiki Energy to these three souls for our friend, Virginia Jablonski (Ginny), of Chino Valley, AZ.  Ginny traveled to California in response to the fires to help support the energetic needs of the animals there.  She provides us with three sweet souls who could use our support:
This is Barry Boy. He has a fractured Patella. He has suffered depression and has tension in his neck due to compensation. He needs to know he is loved.
Barry Boy is located in Valley Center, CA at a rescue.
Barry
This is Lucy.  She is 18.5 hand Shire Draft sent to a rescue in Ramona. She gave birth 3 years ago and has not been able to walk properly since. I have done healing, had a massage therapist do free work, and had a DC do a free adjustment for her in the past week. She is lifting her legs better, not dragging her feet and entire pasterns, but needs ongoing support to retrain her pelvis, hips and SI to stay in place.
Lucy is located in Ramona, CA at a sanctuary.

This is Shelby.  She is a rescue dog who has had several traumatic incidents in her life, has low self esteem, and is truly an emotional train wreck. She just wanted me to lie down with her on the floor. There are layers of abuse, memories and emotions that she is carrying.
Shelby is located in Valley Center, CA at a private home. She lives with 6 other rescue dogs.

Thank you to everyone who supports ROTH’s healing circle as a Reiki Angel!  We honor your commitment to bettering the world with your healing love!

Reiki Energy Healing for Horses was a HIT!

Once a year in Colorado Anna selects a rescue or therapy barn where she chooses to give back to the horses with her Reiki for Horses class.  This year ROTH landed at Drifter’s Heart of Hope in Franktown, CO, and luckily so.  Thanks go, in particular, to Jacqui Avis, who manages the facility, because she was an integral piece in our success as she pointed us to the horses who had the needs and the capability to be a part of the class.  To Jacqui and her lovely staff of volunteers, thank you for making this class go off without a hitch!

Reiki Healing is about reciprocity, compassion, love and light. Literally it is the subject matter at hand, and the students practice their craft as they develop the skills necessary to evaluate, interact, and support horses energetically.  We ask so much of our horses from day to day, and supporting them with Reiki is an imperative part of maintaining their physical and emotional well being.

As I walked the aisles and rows of horses and got details on their histories, it became immediately apparent that the ONLY other destination for most of these horses would have been the kill pen.  Some may have better chances than others because their rehabilitation is more mental and emotional than physical, or vice versa, but it was obvious that the hearts of the people behind Drifter’s are indeed Hearts of Hope.

We wanted to share some of our images with you all so you can see what a great day we had and to promote the idea of giving back to those horses who support us without question, and sometimes without option.

The morning began in the indoor, after the lecture of course, and students were assigned horses on whom they needed to determine the state of each Chakra and then go to work to balance them.

Some horses are much more receptive to hands-on Reiki while others received “beamed” Reiki healing for their comfort.  A lucky pair of students were even joined by a friend of the Feline family to soak up the “borrowed benefit” of a healing energetic environment.

Students worked on learning how to determine when a horse wants them to move from one Chakra to the next, what is a yes and what is a no, asking permission, watching for the registers of successful energy healing, and how to determine when the horse shares that they have received all the Reiki they need and the healing session is over.

IMG_6881

No pony is too small to receive healing energy!  Glitter certainly enjoyed her time to shine and took a solid nap during her healing session.

Christine worked on Horris the mule, who joined us after many years of belonging to a driving team in the mountains.  When we approached Horris’ stall to bring him in he was apprehensive, to put it mildly; however, once Horris experienced our intention and the power behind the Reiki Healing Energy, he became our resident “Reiki Junkie” and even appeared later in the afternoon for a second session, this time entirely willingly!  The grey gelding, Sarge, was another who was concerned about our intentions for his otherwise sleepy Sunday.  But after about 10 minutes he could feel the difference in what we were doing and happily obliged by relaxing for over two hours.

After lunch there was more instruction in the classroom and then we headed to the pastures, paddocks, and stalls to work on horses in a more natural environment.  Anna calls these “Love Lessons,” where we connect directly with the horse’s heart Chakra and allow them to use us as a vehicle to express their emotions that otherwise might not have an outlet.  Horses cry tears through our students, and it’s not entirely about us healing them, because plenty of students walk away from the Love Lessons feeling entirely transformed and healed themselves.

Anna began with a brief demonstration on a black gelding and then students moved into the paddocks and pastures and allowed the horses to choose with whom they wanted to engage in healing.  Some took wild advantage of student after student, and others focused on one person in particular who they preferred.  Some horses even chose to refrain altogether, and remained at their feeder while allowing others to receive the healing they needed.  That is always ok, because each horse has a say in their own healing.

As horses can feel the difference in a true Holy Fire and Karuna Reiki Master, some of the horses chose to try to monopolize Anna’s attention for their own benefit.  Anna is always happily amused to receive their affection!

Toward the end of the Love Lessons we headed to one last set of pastures where some of the horses from our morning sessions go to afternoon turn out.  One in particular who was reluctant to be brought in for the morning sessions (until he realized how exactly his day was shaping up) figured out that he had yet another opportunity to soak in the healing love.  ROTH student, Sharon Tiraschi, then called Sarge and Mariah in from turnout with only her heart.  Both horses queued up for their opportunity to experience the Love Lessons from Sharon.  It was a beautiful transformation for Sarge from the morning to the afternoon.

IMG_7030

And many others were sought out for their Love Lessons and eternally compassionate souls.  Truly all who participated at Drifter’s were healed and healers alike.

Again, we would like to thank Drifter’s Hearts of Hope in Franktown, Colorado, for the use of their lovely facility and the benefit of working with their wonderful horses. Our gratitude to Manager, Jacqui Avis, for all her help and guidance in helping us choose horses and best utilize the facility.  We would also like to thank the students who put their faith in the horses to show them, guide them, and teach them what they need to learn, and they did.  ROTH students often come from far and wide to join us on these events and then they carry the message back home with them in an attempt to help humans with horses understand what it is to truly support and give back to the animals we love and who routinely give us their all.

To ROTH Certified Trainer, Jill Haase, thank you for helping move such a large number of horses and for helping keep eyes peeled to keep students safe who were not necessarily experienced horse people.  And thanks be to Jill for always keeping it light and keeping the laughs and the smiles rolling, because why not?

Lastly, THANK YOU, to Anna Twinney.  Your mission coming to life in this way must make you proud and I hope you smile when you think of the breadth and depth of your reach within the lives of horses and their people.  Your sacrifices and hard work do not go unnoticed.  For someone with the soul of a true healer, you have a warrior spirit and dedication to spreading the messages of love, compassion, and clear communication everywhere you go.  Thank you for being you, Anna!

The Proof is in the Pudding…and in the Testimonials. Consensus: Anna Twinney – Miracle Worker!

We start with two testimonials from our most recent Colorado Clinic at Mounting Miracles Ranch in Lafayette, CO.

From Jan D. at Mounting Miracles:

I attended Anna’s Confident Horse, Confident Rider 2-day Clinic with my 6-year-old Mustang who I adopted from an Untouched Horse Course with Anna 5 years ago.  I’ve attended a lot of Anna’s courses and clinics and am no stranger to her techniques.  And yet, because of the human and horse dynamic, every clinic is different and special.  I was struck anew by two things in this clinic:

First, Anna’s ability to assess both horse and human is remarkable.  She can quickly and accurately identify the message a horse’s behavior might be sending and work with the human on understanding and developing a plan to address the issue effectively.  Just as clearly, and kindly, she is able to spot the slightest nuance in the handler’s movements or hear it in their self assessment and coach them to self confidence and success.

Secondly, Anna has always said that her techniques are not a “system.”  Witnessing her work with people entirely new to her philosophy reminded me of the power of that fact.  Some of the work we did was applied to all horses, as a way to assess the horse’s status and to develop trust and a few basic skills.  From there, everything was driven by the horse’s need.  In other words, each horse was viewed as an individual and no set “solution” was applied.  One horse may be a little head shy and not want his ears touched.  One approach is utilized to help him learn the value of letting the handler touch his ears.  Another horse may be head shy and terrified of having her ears touched because she associates it with past trauma and rough handling.  This horse will require a very different approach.  Anna’s gift is in helping the handler develop a solution that works for that horse, through education and creative problem solving.  The student is not just handed one solution, but taught to develop new solutions, based on knowledge and understanding.

I could go on and on about the fun atmosphere, the group bonding, and the supportive atmosphere.  Both Arrow and I had a great time…

Thanks, Anna!

Lloyd M. of Brighton, CO shares:

In 2011, my wife Jan and I began the journey that changed our lives. We had been volunteering at a horse rescue where we observed Anna moving a horse at liberty in a round pen using only her eyes. We were hooked. We proudly completed the ROTH Comprehensive Holistic Horsemanship Modular Certification Course (HHC) in 2011.  In February of 2012, we took the ROTH Foal Gentling Course with Anna in Tucson, AZ. These were PREMARIN foals Anna had rescued and the goal was to gentle them to become adopted. Anna assigned me the eight-month-old untouched buckskin; he was tall, always made his way to the front of the herd, and held his head high. This foal was an amazing old soul who easily picked up everything we worked on. I went home to Colorado after spending the week with him to contemplate what adopting him would entail. Head and heart agreed, he came to me in June and changed my life forever. He was awarded the name “Champ” because that is how he does everything! When he turned fours years old we took ROTH’s Colt Starting 101 together to start him under saddle.  We decided to go back to our horse roots by attending ROTH’s Confident Horse, Confident Rider Clinic with Anna in June 2017. Champ has only known ROTH techniques, so with Anna’s keen eyes she was able to critique our relationship to get closer to our potential. I have always preferred groundwork to riding but Anna was able to get me the “a-ha” moment of how fun riding can be!

Because of Anna’s marvelous ability to connect to each person and horse, everyday is a good day starting out with haying our herd.

Anna then went from Colorado straight to Kalispell, Montana (affectionately termed “Kila” by residents) where she did An Evening of Animal Communication and hosted her 3 Days of Intuitive Riding Clinic.

Images of Anna’s very cozy group of Animal Communication Attendees in Montana:Evening of AC MT

She also did a breakthrough session of Animal Communication for a long-time friend and client of Reach Out to Horses, Nancy H., and her horse, Shanti.  Here’s the scoop:

I was dealing with a scary horse crises that was 6 weeks on and getting worse.  Anna did a communication session with Shanti that was detailed, spot on – captured Shanti’s heart, communication style, injuries, site of the accident, what happened, how it happened, the horse who caused it – and the fact it was just ‘an accident’… Every detail ‘spot on’ as I was there – although just inside getting more hay.

Nancy’s Summary of the incident and Shanti’s injury:

My horse had a puncture wound injury 5 weeks before the clinic.  We had seen bizarre changes daily with edemas, air pillows under the skin-neck to lumbar, withers to belly along with a very lame leg that was swollen, not swollen, usable, and then not usableŠ Just before the clinic was to start, Shanti had a bloody nose 2 nights in a row.  Shanti was too lame to trailer but had been ultra sounded, radio graphed, monitored by the vet weeks before.  I felt completely unsupported by the vet and results from onsite radio graphs, and was feeling frantic for the unexplained high pain level and continued changes.  I begged Anna for a communication session even though I knew it was an unethical request.  Anna was able to fit us in and 6 others listened in, one of whom was a care giver to Shanti for 2 years before she came to be with me.

The session was helpful and I felt much relief at the end.  Shanti shared how and where the accident happened – which was spot on as to how I thought it must have unfolded but was doubting that scenario due to the major complications that kept springing up.   Shanti shared that the puncture area was clean inside, that there was no lung infection or lung pain.  That was excellent to know because due to the air under the skin this could have been caused by a broken rib, punctured lung, or massive infection.  Anna parlayed information that was possible, and that needed to be checked out.  Anna also set up a social media post where 100 people sent energy healing to Shanti.  I chose to not trailer on a Sunday due to limited staff & testing that could be done.  I set up a hauler on Monday.  The trailer looked just as Anna said it would be shaped.  This was the Montana Equine Emergency Ambulance.  Shanti would not go in for any of us.  Clearly her movement was better than it had been since the accident, adrenaline or otherwise, she ultimately made a choice to heal at home.  She is moving around a bit more, standing taller, drinking more water and eating well.  I am offering multiple modalities and trying to get a BEMER vet package to help the nerve damage heal.  I do hope she gets her lovely trot back.

After feeling so frantic with the changes I was seeing in my horse even after doing all I could, I felt such relief with the information and gained confidence to move forward into the long rehab ahead of us. With all the skills, knowledge, and training I’ve gained, this accident was clearly outside of my confidence level. Anna sharing her gift was gigantic, valuable, and priceless. Our gratitude forever.

Nancy shared some images of her treasured Shanti:

Nancy H. also participated in the Intuitive Riding Clinic and this is what she shared:

Another amazing total of 4 days spent with Anna Twinney.  The time spent throughout this clinic was valuable beyond words.  Educational, inspiring, soul connections, life lessons – life patterns brought to awareness and let go… Way more than riding…Everyone expressed major life changes this year, and we are ready for next year! I simply can’t say enough good things regarding this experience!  I was able to take Starry on his own and he was perfect, calm, wise, and honored for who he is.  He found a new best friend we’ll go riding with as well… Such tremendous growth and connection in our relationship.

The life lessons over the weekend created awareness and were life-changing.Š The obstacle course at liberty with 2 horses, and a team driving horses to move was a challenge in projecting energy and intent.  Creating flowing energy and back-up energy and keeping that same energy in place as we moved together in a team – eyes on eyes first horse, then second horse, then shoulders square – ask for forward motion.   Knowing where to be and what to do to back someone up was really tough for me.  Took a long time to get it and this was humbling to get out of my head and finally move intuitively.  I actually didn’t ride my horse this weekend.  The TLC session went perfect with Starry – he was a completely different horse this year – due to the DePaolo Excel product I have him on.  I have no reservations riding him, he and I will be just fine. The IRE (Intuitive Riding Experience) just gets richer each year.  Collectively all the information sinks in, connects, makes sense and becomes a way of being. This year it all came together.

Who wouldn’t love to work in the great outdoors of picturesque, Kalispell, MT?

Group MT2

And shared by Brenda W. of Kalispell, MT

I love to feel passionate, inspired about my work on behalf of horses and humans, about being alive, especially connecting with and riding horses. But the truth is, after the loss of a life of almost daily riding, raising horses and mules, riding & packing in Glacier Park, and later the loss of my beautiful mare, I disconnected that confident, horse-woman part of myself. Add to the mix busyness, business building, and survival, I didn’t know how to get that part of me back. My current riding horse, Jett, and I, have had a frustrating dance over the past 12 years.  It was a dance of “do we trust each other?”  And each of us getting frustrated.  Last weekend I participated in the Intuitive Riding Clinic with Anna and my passion that I let stand aside was re-ignited! Anna helped me identify what was truly standing in my way of having the connection and relationship that I crave with my horse! It was glorious to re-awaken that confident part of myself – get back to riding and connecting with my horse.  This clinic was so much more than a clinic – it was a retreat that customized to our individual needs in horsemanship and in life lessons, including my greatest desire to ride Jett bareback. Over the past three years Anna has asked me why I am holding back.  This year Anna and Jett opened the gate wide and I stepped through.

In deep gratitude,

Brenda W.

A Reiki Request for Our Good Friend’s Mare, Shanti

Dearest Reiki Angels and other Reiki Practitioners,
We are requesting support for Nancy’s mare, Shanti.  Please read below about how her injury unfolded and what her timeline has looked like:
May 18th I fed the horses a pile of hay each – went in the hay tent – was opening another bale -went back out – blood was spurting out of Shanti’s chest – right armpit. I can only deduce that Rose my appy, thinking she didn’t get the best hay that morning chased Shanti – she couldn’t go forward because Starry was there, fence on one side a huge tree stump on the other – been there for 20 years or so. She must have spun and landed on top of the stump –  small 1 inch gash could have cut the small artery – blood spewed out with air bubbles…  I called the vet at 6:30 am  they came out 3 1Ž2 hours later due …   I got the bleeding stopped with compression, ice packs and ace bandage. Vet came – gave antibiotic shots, I followed up with 2 more, he checked her as best as he could – didn’t have the X-ray equipment… I created a 12 x 12 space for her since her right knee or leg was compromised – vet recommended as she couldn’t walk far, didn’t know the extent…

Monday morning – after feeling better seeing softening of inflammation on chest between legs finally after 4 days. Around 11 am – in 10 minutes time my horse moved around enough in a 12 x 12 stall after her buddies were out of sight to ‘suck air into her body’ through the 1 inch gash… She ballooned up – It felt like skin over an air cushion instead of solid muscle – chest, shoulders – withers to elbow, on back – now moved above lumbar area… It crinkles like bubble wrap in some places – air cushion, hollow – in others.

Shanti had large edemas – chest & belly to her stifle.

5 weeks later – Worse than ever, muscle atrophy on scapula and shoulder area – triceps… Still no weight on leg, Pain displayed. Feels life threatening.

When Veronika and Anna met on Skype for the very first time, Veronika mentioned a very unexpected surprise for Anna.  “It’s a symbol giving us inspiration,” she said. It’s been on my desk since 2008 and now look we stand here together, united.  I don’t go on what I read or the person, I go on what I feel.  I was like a child when I first saw your logo.  It drew me right in and is so very important.  It inspired me to create my logo.

We were super excited to have Dr. Leah ~ Acupuncturist, massage therapist, and Healing with Horses Board Member come over from Trinidad to join us for the whole animal communication experience.
With an open mind and heart, Dr. Leah explored integrating the Young Living essential oils into her treatment.  Her sessions conducted at liberty, giving the horses free choice and a voice, she included them in the selection process.
When Navajo selected 5 oils, the pendulum revealed Relieve It, Hope and Di-gize to be the most serving for the day! With Hope on the heart chakra and Relieve it massaged in – Navajo choreographed his healing.

While having my hair braided in Tobago, I noticed this kitty rolling around on my pouch containing Essential Oils. I was unsure as to which oil triggered the love-fest, but for more than five minutes it was clear that the kitty was absolutely selecting an oil she needed!  Often when we see big reactions to Essential Oils, we don’t often get it on film.  It was great to see kitty’s reaction and share it with you all as a testament to the animals’ needs and desires to heal or soothe themselves.

Take me to Anna’s Oil Page so I can learn more!

About Healing with Horses

Jennifer was the Founding Horse of Being with Horses.  This beautiful, sensitive chestnut mare came to us all the way from Speyside.  She had lived in the rainforest as a leader for a herd of twenty sheep.  In 2007 Veronika walked this lovely mare all the way from Speyside, a 20-hour trek, to bring her to her new home in Buccoo.
