Internationally-Recognized Horse Trainer and Clinician Anna Twinney Named to American Horsewoman’s Challenge Advisory Board

SEATTLE, Wash.–March 17, 2014 NWNHC Productions has announced that world renowned horse trainer Anna Twinney is joining the advisory board of the American Horsewoman’s Challenge TM. The Challenge is a national equestrian competition that honors the contribution women are making to training North America’s horses and tests their skill at developing a well-rounded equine companion. The Advisory Board provides counsel to the event organizers, helps set direction and assists with development of the skills tests for competitors.

Ms. Twinney joins a panel of horse industry leaders including Debbie and Eitan Beth Halachmy of Cowboy Dressage, Grande Liberte performer Sylvia Zerbini and husband/manger Richie Waite,  Extreme Cowgirl and Cowboy Dalene and Craig Cameron and Liberty clinician Carolyn Resnick.

Anna has made her life’s work gentling Mustangs and sharing the Language of Equus around the world. She is founder of the Reach Out to Horses program and is a respected natural horsemanship clinician, trainer, animal communicator and Reiki Master.  She travels the world teaching the art of creating a trust-based partnership between humans, horses & all animal companions http://www.reachouttohorses.com

“We’re so happy to have someone like Anna on the advisory board,” said Jim “Hutch” Hutchins, event producer, “Her holistic approach to horse training, her experience studying and starting hundreds of Mustangs and her expertise training horses at liberty brings a dynamic perspective to the competition.”

The American Horsewoman’s Challenge brings together horsewomen from the U.S. and Canada in a six-month competition to train a “green broke” horse in the areas of Cowboy Dressage, Ranch and Trail Versatility and Liberty.   As many as 500 horsewomen may enter with the top 50 being chosen to train for the Finals competition October 3 – 5, 2014 in Oklahoma City, Okla.

INTRODUCTION

I have made it my life’s mission to give a voice to the voiceless through gentle ways of both training horses and coaching individuals on effective communication.

For almost 2 decades I have gentled PMU mares, colts and foals in both Canada and the United States; all of which have been rescued directly from the PMU industry.

As part of the mission of Reach Out to Horses® we support many rescues, in all parts of the globe.

Through our unique program we work with and gentle untouched PMU foals, nurse foals and slaughter bound foals as well as captured mustangs. Our goal is to give them a second chance at life and happiness.
