Puppy Mill Insider Speaks Out

Puppy mills are commercial dog breeding facilities that operate with an emphasis on profit as opposed to the welfare of the animals. Overcrowding, unsanitary conditions, abuse and a lack of adequate food, water and veterinary care is common. Due to the often poor breeding practices, these puppies frequently face health and social problems that can effect them for their entire life.

Timmy Bullion, a former puppy mill employee in Virginia, speaks out about the atrocious practices he witnessed while working in the field before leaving to become an advocate for these animals.

People are often endeared by wide-eyed dogs in pet shop windows, but they unknowingly perpetuate this callous practice. If we stop giving them our money, these awful establishments will become obsolete. Always adopt a homeless pet from a local animal shelter. Never buy from a pet store or breeder.
